Laptop screen has doubled. Not sure how to fix it. ?

The screen has doubled. Its very annoying. Even start up. I tried restarting the laptop many times. I tried changing the resolution. It still didn't work. I don't know how this happened. Im not sure what else to do. Hope you can help. Its a Compaq laptop. Thanks.
