I took a laxative that was supposed to work within 6-12 hours, 12 hours later and nothing happened?

Hi i'm currently a 4th year medical student and ive just recently studied on the topic of bowel movements. What's happening in your body is that because of the excessive amount of laxatives you're consuming, your waste it's actually bulged up and completely blocked the anus, unable to release. But not to worry, drink lots of water and because of water's fluoride, the waste will be released in 3-4 days.
