My strawberry plants have yellow/brown leaves?

My strawberry plants had yellow leaves growing from the bottom, the leaves on top were green, I learnt this was due to a magnesium deficiency so I feed them a liquid fertilizer. The yellow leaves then turned brown and are dying, but I have noticed that the newer leaves that are growing are green. This is a good sign right?
