What type of grub do I have?

I went to fertilize my lawn yesterday and made one pass but it was too wet. When I brought my fertilizer spreader back into the garage I poured the fertilizer out to keep the spreader dry and noticed many small white, grub looking, worms. They were very small about a 1/4 of an inch long, but I did not notice a dark head. When I look online almost all of the pictures of grubs show a dark head. What are these worms...are they damaging to my lawn...and what should I use to get rid of them?
